Hi Bride & bridal party!
I’ve compiled the list below to help with your preparations for the wedding day.
Set-up
Please have a clean dining-height table of reasonable size for our makeup & hair equipments.
This should be located close to power outlets and preferably with access to natural light.
Hair Prep
Wash hair with shampoo twice the evening before. Concentrate on the scalp the first time, the followed by the lengths of your hair.
Blow-dry straight to eliminate frizz or for curly hair, you may use a hair straightener near the roots.
Only apply conditioner from mid-lengths to ends. Skip this step if you have silky, slippery hair and avaoid supermarket produts such as Pantence, etc.
If you have oily scalp or thin hair, shampoo the morning of the appointment following the instructions above.
Hair must be clean and dry for styling.
Additional prep work to blowdry wet or curly hair or will incur a charge of $100+gst per person billed to the Bride.
Bring along 1-2 hair reference photos if not discussed prior.
Humidity, sweat and steam will effect freshly styled hair. Hence, please shower and complete any ironing or cooking over the stove beforehand.
Wear a buttoned-up shirt or robe for easy removal and changing.
Skin & Makeup
Cleanse and exfoliate with a gentle, non-foaming product followed by serums, moisturiser and lip balm.
Reduce Vitamin-A or Retinol based products to no more than twice a week.
To help reduce puffiness in the morning, apply hydrating eye & face mask fresh from the fridge.
Only use products that you are familiar with to prevent possibilities of skin reactions close to the wedding day.
Please notify me as soon as possible if you are feeling unwell, have any allergies or sensitivities.
I am more than happy to work with your personal products if you have any favourites or sensitive skin.
For contact lens wearers, please apply before makeup application.
Shape and tidy brows at least 5 days prior. Makeup will not adhere on freshly waxed skin.
If getting a spray tan, please schedule 2 days prior to the event and lightly spray the face.
Bring along 1-2 makeup reference photos if not discussed prior.
Lips will often need to be re-applied especially on a long day, so please bring along a lip colour for touch-ups.
Long lasting makeup starts from great skin so remember to have plenty of water, sleep well and avoid prolonged sun exposure leading up to the day ;)
Although you may not feel hungry, please have some food and brush your teeth before makeup application.
